[Roots] Roots Canada - Additional 40% Sale

Additional 40% on Sale items.
I definitely don’t need one, so I’ll do the right thing and pick one up on my way home. 😎

**Just pick one and don't loot** 😠

Buying online, I'll never agree to this. Worst case give me store credit or something.

I can't figure out how this company is still able to stay open while so many have gone out of business.

The brand is surprisingly quite popular overseas from some of the brand presence I've seen.
But same I don't quite understand it either.

Roots clothing is very well made (at least their sweats are). I still have sweats that are 20 years old. Any brand name clothes are expensive now. Just get them on sale.

A lot of Americans actually go to the stores when they come here. I also find it very strange especially the gaudy logos/maple leaf but there is no denying it's good quality.

In my trips to Asia Ive been asked to also bring some Roots stuff, that over Gap which is more recognizable

I think theres this underground niche crowd who likes the brand

Indeed, Taiwan had the same number of stores as Canada back in 2015.

The Asian market is all about premiumization, from coffee to clothing to Canadian air.

It's the oxymoron of "affordable luxury"; to show off in a culture that thrives on
the opinions of others in your community vs the American mindset of the individual.

But anyway, I find it hard to justify these prices without possibility of return. Love their boots though, Orfus Road outlet is basically where all my Roots purchases come from.

Like everything else these days, the new clothing doesn't have the same quality. My Roots hoodie is made in China. It isn't going to last 20 years.

Surface not soft like I expected though.
