this is pretty good. First AWS4 sale that doesn't involve discounted gift cards, I believe. But it says (for the AWS4 aluminium) that $429.53 is the maximum amount I can pay in cash, and the rest has to be paid in points

Can this be price matched at Apple or Best Buy?

you need at least 20% of the cost of the watch (after tax) in RBC points

conversely you can only pay for 80% of the item without points.

it's a decent detail if you are the market for a apple watch AND have the points

Series 4 40mm non-cellular, the least points I can use:
15339 points plus $398.79

In Ontario. Regular after tax would be 586.47.

Compared to avion points, 35k buys a $750 flight for 47 points/dollar, this would be 82 points/dollar. Not really a good use of points even if you are looking at the watch’s regular price. Better off paying full price for the watch and saving points for a flight if you have avion.

I really need to convince my wife to cancel her avion entirely, it’s a terrible card.
