Not bad.

I haven't seen amazon at 25% off for a long time. Anybody else notice this on their account too?

I'm curious.. If I subscribe to their card, how is the % "cashback" if I wait for these promos? They seem to happen more than twice a year so if it allows me to have a great "cashback" ratio, I wouldn't mind waiting. Their website is not clear about what a point is worth and how many I earn per dollar.. :(

EDIT:
I found the % back in points..
1 point per $1 spent on eligible gas + restaurant + drug store purchases
0.5 points per $1 spent on all other eligible purchases

Still no idea how many points a gift card cost on a regular basis from their site...

20% lowes and Rona.. Is that common?
What's the redemption % doing this.

Spend 100,000 on this card, get 100k points? And then buy these gc for 80 cents on the dollar?

It's a solid way to get 20-25% off consumer electronics, there aren't many options for that.

Reminder that when it comes to RBC points, always good to hold a no fee Rewards+ for redemptions so you don't have to wait for these sales.

On the Rewards+ card, if you go to RBC Rewards > Gift Cards > Amazon.ca, you'll see there's an exclusive, cheaper redemption for 1000 pts = $10, 5000 pts = $50, 10,000 pts = $100 on Amazon.ca gift cards exclusively for the Rewards+ card. Earn points on your other RBC/Avion cards then transfer points to the R+ for redemption.

You can then use that Amazon.ca balance to buy anything on Amazon OR 3rd party gift cards they sell - like Uber, DoorDash, Google, Apple, McDs, Tims, Starbucks, various restaurants, various clothing stores, etc. Works out to 1 cent per point year round, and flexible to whatever store(s) you want.

This is good to know. Thanks for the share! I wonder if there are other GCs that are better valued with Rewards+

You'll have to log into your RBC rewards/banking account and from the Shop & Redeem dropdown select Gift Cards.

Thanks for this! Got some Amazon gift cards, fingers crossed they get to me before I move at the end of the month. It's so frustrating that they ship out physical gift cards for these instead of digital ones
