[Royal Bank] RBC Rewards to Westjet Conversion Bonus - Until Nov 15

RBC Rewards to Westjet Dollars conversion bonus is back until November 15th. Unfortunately it's only 10% bonus this time.

Hmmm.. Debating keeping my points as I've had good experiences booking travel through avion. But 10% bonus is tempting. Thanks op!

Gets worse every new promo - was like 30, then 25, now 10... Want to get rid of my points but don’t know which way.

Also, keep in mind that the bonus dollars (ie: the 10% extra that you earn, $25 in the OP example) are only good for one year. You can log into your Westjet Rewards account to see if you have any expiring dollars.

I believe only the 10% bonus ($25) will expires in one year. The remaining $250 will not expire.

When you convert the points, should it say you will get the extra 10% right away? Or are they added later as a bonus? It still tells me I'm only getting 250 WJ dollars for 25,000 Avion points.

Tempting, but better value for me to convert to McDonald's gift cards for a 25% bonus right now

I WANT to take a beach vacation this year
I KNOW I will eat a BigMac this week

Advice needed: I'm new to Avion and have 30k welcome points. Want to fly from Calgary to Vancouver. Would it be better to use my Avion points to book tix, or convert to Westjet? Much appreciated.

Pay out of pocket and buy tickets on Air Transat. For such a short haul flight it’s really not worth using points.

Aren't the bonuses usually at least 15%?

Been 10% the last couple times, and I would guess coming to and end soon when RBC/Westjet launch Amplii
