In store, these are stickers on products.

Today at shoppers, I picked up 4 x 12=24 Royale toilet paper. I noticed the velour paper had one of these stickers for a free scrubbing bubbles. Peeled 2 stickers off and grabbed 2 containers of scrubbing bubbles toilet cleaner, which I got for free.

Best part is that shoppers awards 20x the points (since I was over $50) on the 2 scrubbing bubbles containers. ($4.79 each). SDM awards points before the manufacturer coupon is processed. This is how it used to work, I didn't double check today though.

Can someone more familiar with Optimum pts confirm this? I always thought points earned / event threshold are based on the pre-tax / after coupons amount.

Thanks for the answer!

So... Crest is on sale this week at SDM for $0.99 and there is a save $2 on 2 crest product coupon from P&G right now. In theory, with the 20x pts on $50... I could get 52 tubes, use 26 coupons and get 15,300 pts paying only the taxes on the $51.48?

Literally, Yes. However, In reality, few people would have 26 same coupons on hand (some "tough" cashiers might refuse to do that as well)

Thanks! Coupon worked as described... Just want to note that:

At first the cashier applied the coupons specifically to the Scrubbing Bubbles from a pop-up menu..... this method resulted in the cost of the bubbles NOT counting towards the $50/20x pts threshold but taxes were not charged on the free bottles

In order for the free Scrubbing Bubbles to count towards the $50 spend, she had to deduct the cost of each bottle as a generic "manufacturer coupon" and manually enter the -$4.49 amount. This meant tax was charged but each $4.49 counted towards the $50 threshold.
