FWD XT5 Lease, 28 months @$368 + tax (Thornhill)

Retailer:
Royfoss Cadillac
I was shopping around for xt5... this seems to be slightly cheaper than Oakville and Etobicoke deal... however it’s less km allowance

At a lease rate of 4.99% you can get a new silver 2019 xt5 FWD for $368 + tax monthly ($169 + tax biweekly add $16 + tax for premium paint) with $3,000 down payment for 28 months. Only issue is it’s 16,000 km which is very little allowance for myself. Also residual is $26,000 after lease is over so total I believe would come out to $40,643.

The lease itself comes out to $523 after tax with down payment included for 28 months.

I’ve attached a picture which also gives prices for AWD and luxury trims

If you happen to go to royfoss ask for MJ. He’s super helpful and nice!

Hope this helps! Thanks!

The 2019 Cadillac FWD XT5 is a disappointing offering:

Highs: Quiet interior, distinctive exterior styling, spacious cargo bay.
Lows: Somewhat gruff V-6 powertrain, muddled driving dynamics, busy interior design.
Verdict: A solid effort, but far from the luxury segment's best.

So do these calculations exclude the initial $3000?

$523 a month isn't exactly hot for a base model. Low mileage allowance and 28 months lease do not suit many people.

That's from 2017. Some refinements since then. V6 is far from "gruff". Very smooth.

Is it the best?.. No. It's also a lot less than the best.

For the right price, it can be a deal. I'm not going to FUD this, just sharing information.

We looked at an XT5 last year. It was ok. Drove ok, decent power, quiet enough. Lots of cargo area. The electronic shifter was frustrating, but sure would get used to it. CUE system is ok, nothing to get all excited about. Unable to turn off auto stop.

The biggest thing we noticed, is the sheer amount of rebates and discounts on these things. The FWD models were crazy cheap, and most of the dealers around here had some short term lease deals to get thousands and thousands off.

I cant see how there can be any resale on these vehicles, when the discounts on new were soo much.

It looks like dealers are whacking RFD with this "deal"... I just saw another thread for it that was locked a 2 days ago.

It’s 523$ after tax monthly. Calculated as: 368+ 13% tax x 28 months = $11,643 + $3,000 down payment = $14,643 for 28 months = 523$ monthly

The resale is garbage on these units last I checked, mainly due to folks not believing in their long run reliability. This is a problem for many American makes.

I'm not prejudiced when it comes to American makes personally... I like GMC Yukons, I like Ford F-150s, and most anything SE Asian (except for Chinese makes).

My friend replaces his GMC Yukon every 2 years. If you're on a 2 - 5 year replacement cycle with the XT5, I'm sure you'll find an economical middle ground and enjoy it. Major vehicle redesigns occur on a 5 year cycle, which work well with this schedule.

How are these dealer posts allowed? RFD needs better mods to clean up this garbage.

I have a ATS and you are 100% correct, the XT5 is a confused offering. I was offered a XT5 when I had my car in for service, and I was honestly disappointed by interior design vs what I have in ATS, which is refined and polished. Obviously, ATS's driving dynamics are class-leading but I still expected XT5 to be not 'average'.

I may have above average standards as I have always disliked SUV driving dynamics though.

Exactly what I thought...another Cadillac XT5 "deal" for you guys. The other deal was moved to expired....which is exactly where this one belongs.

Don't forget to ask for "MJ" folks aka Niffler! - he's super nice and helpful.
