Is this rust in water boiler?

I don't use my sunbeam glass water boiler I got from amazon a while back. Wife noticed she could not wipe off this brown ring in the base of the pot which I think should be stainless steel.
Can anyone confirm if they got the same and how to remove. Wife is pretty freaked out about drinking rust water.

Not rust. It's minerals coming out of solution.

You can check for rust in your water by pouring some into a clear glass and wait a few hours for it to settle.

Iron in the water suggests hard water and can be considered healthier water.

Just like new now after soaking in vinegar overnight.
