Ryerson University Internet

Hi Guys

This is me reaching out to Ryerson University students. I know this sounds like an outrageous request and can understand if you don't want to take it seriously. I am studying for my GMAT these days with a GMAT Tutor at the Ryerson University library but i need internet access in order to access practice questions and materials online. Unfortunately because i am not a Ryerson University Student and my Tutor doesn't teach anyone from Ryerson and neither knows anybody there, we don't have access to the internet.

I will be grateful if a student can PM the internet login, password in order to access the internet at the Ryerson University Library along with the name of the network. Alternatively if someone knows whether a guest can access the guest internet network at the Ryerson University library i will be grateful for guidance on that front as well.

If you can find an ethernet port, highly unlikely but maybe, you can try to use one of those portable routers or plug in directly.
I'm guessing that the students use their school logins to get internet, the same one that has access to their course registration and other stuff that they most likely won't give it out.

Why are you studying there? Students are paying for the internet with their tuition.

Good luck with that request. As the poster above said we are paying tuition to use that space as well as the resources (including internet).

I would suggest you haul yourself and your tutor to the nearest public library and do your stuff there.

Not possible. Routers are in the ceiling and even if you connect via wall/ethernet port it still asks for login. This is 2018 not 2003. Lastly, the username and password is as important as login details for facebook or social media. Nobody is going to give it to you--especially since they don't know you. Try asking the help-desk at the library if they can perhaps do something. I know UTM lets locals use their library for studying or reading.

A little late, but OP the edurom lets you login with whatever school credentials you have (assuming you're in school still). Ex if you're from UofT using Edurom at Ryerson, your username is your utoronto username and your password is your email password.

No one would (or should be stupid enough) to give you their university wifi login as that is almost always their school email or school academic/financial account (where you order your transcripts, pay for tuition, see your grades). If you're not able to use Edurom then I would suggest studying in a cafe or elsewhere with free wifi (public library?). Why are you taking up space for Ryerson students if you're not from the school anyways? Esp if neither you NOR your tutor are from the school.
