Ryobi Revolution is here! Ryobi One+ HP Compact series

Ryobi ONE+ HP Compact

The newest series of tools from Ryobi has finally been posted, if anyone is interested. The photos confirm that post batteries will still continue, so are interchangeable with older tools, but they do get a new look.

The 3/8" impact driver only has 160 ft/lbs of torque, seems too underwhelming for automotive work. Will wait for a 1/2" version, hopefully the torque isn't a significant drop-off from the current larger tool.

That battery post is 22 years old now. There was nearly no way they would back away from it now.

There was quite a bit of chatter on Reddit that feared that Ryobi would moving to a flat battery like Milwaukee.

Reddit is full of crap. I heard about these quite a while ago. I never heard chatter the post would change.

Source: I worked for Ryobi Canada when they were owned by Ryobi Japan in 2000. Our head office was right by the 401 in Cambridge.
