M16-14 Special Forces G10 Folding Pocket Knife
1 review(s)
The Special Forces G10 models share a unique design offering a combination of Carson M16 Series features requested by military procurement specialists. The dual grind Tanto blades were specified because they offer maximum strength. The open build allows two Carson Flippers to be incorporated, resulting in a true hilt— very rare in folding knives.

AFAIK CRKT makes good knives at reasonable prices. The AUTO-LAWKS takes a little getting used to but you will quickly appreciate the extra added security in the fold lock setup. You can one hand disengage the AUTO-LAWKS. I own a M16 tanto edge from many years ago when I was randomly stopping by LeBarons. Liked what I saw and what I heard and bought one to put into the collection. Should have waited for a sale back then, then buying regluar price.

A friend of mine who used to part time in a knife store swore by this brand as a great alternative to more expensive kershaws/spydercos etc. I've never owned one myself but there's nobody whose opinion I trust more when it comes to knives.

Wished the M16 line came with a straight edge only option. IIRC all of them have the part serrations. I like th posted style for that slight hand guard. If I wanted a serrated knife for cutting rope/seatbelts I would have bought one for that but most of the time a straight edge is preferred for me.

I still have a SOG Visionary II with VG10 steel that I got on impulse due to a RFD posted deal.

Not sure what to do with it, but it's a little bit overkill using a black tactical folding knife to unbox my RFD purchases
RFD is not just about saving money, it's about the thrill of the hunt and getting the stuff I want without paying full price like Joe Shmoe did.
This applies to everyday items as well as high end items that I don't really need.

I do the same...but when i’m unboxing with the sog in my hand my wife no longer yells at me for wasting money anymore. Double duty!
