Ya the EHF is still valid, they can't waive that fee.

Been a while now. At least 8 or 9 years now since when I finally had cash to spend ;)

Solid deal by all means. However, I would spend a little bit more ($760 before tax) for a 60"

bb-dynex-60-1080p-120hz-led-hdtv-dx-60d ... d-1320538/

or a lot less (under $300 before tax) for a 40"

To be honest, 50" is just an awkward size: not big enough, not small enough, sort of like a 7" tablet.

1) not smart TV (this is UN50EH5000);
2) compared with Costco 50" SMART Samsung (UN50EH5300) @ $689.99 before tax in Sep, this deal's price is not good enough.
1 - Who needs a smart TV other than grandpa and grandma to play Netflix? Android HTPCs are the way to go. Buying a TV for the smart functionality isn't a smart move.
2 - Well, this one has NO tax. If this is available in QC, then no tax = 104.70$ in savings + 4x$ something in ecofees (if there is no ecofee).

I say it's a good deal for a nice secondary TV.

Yeah, but I think most consider that Dynex/Insignia are not really on the same level as Samsung.

They have the Sony 46" KDL46R450A for $498. There's a whole load on sale and tax free.

Inness Rd really has barely any, and eagleson RCS has a lot of TVs but I don't think any of the Sony 46" or the Samsungs

I'm happy with investing in a 28 or 29 inch TV. It allows only a $12.95 EHF instead of the $40 fee for buying something 30" or larger.
Much to my shock and surprise, RCSS no longer carries anything smaller than 32 inch.

I got the 5300 for the same price a while back when it was on sale(though plus tax)I don't care about the smart features but couldn't stand that the 5000 only had 2 Hdmi. Other than that picture is fine (I've never been enough of a tv file to go beyond a 5 series)
