The price is right this time around, but there is still no smaller option. Tab S2 still rules the market of small form factor. And it's $379 till April 11th.

Why is it the S5e much cheaper than the S4 or S3? what does the "e" stand for?

Well for Samsung S10e, the E stands for Essential.

I like to think of the E stands for Ergonomics lol since the S10e sits nicely in the hands. And this S5e is so thin and light - E for ergonomics makes more sense to me :D

Sorry for off topic. My tab S2 couldn't turn on since last month. I have tried all the tricks from the internet (power down + volumn, etc), even replaced a new battery... all failure to turn on the Samsung tab s2 tablet.
Any idea?
Thanks

I am assuming these are the prices for the Wifi version only? I was hoping for the LTE version to be available as well.

Unless you are talking about the 8.0" Tab S2, otherwise, the 9.7" S2 pretty much has the same dimension and weight as the new S5e 10.5".

Tab S2 237.3 x 169 x 5.6 mm 389g

Tab S5e 245 x 160 x 5.5 mm 400g

The S5E has a 81.6% screen to body ratio compares to 72.7% for the S2.

I have the Tab S2, it's amazing tablet with beautiful screen but the screen is 4:3 which make watching video somewhat awkward. With $170 more and a free headphones, get the S5e.

4GB of RAM and Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 SDM670 (Geekbench score below 6000 for multicore, below 2000 for single core)

If it's not for the size of the display, then even a mid-range phone would likely perform better than the S5e...and with LTE.

I have the original 10.5 S and one of my best purchases and now I feel I got enough millage out of it. Ive been waiting for something similar with better performance and a reasonable price. Hopefully this wont disappoint.
