Downloading win 7 from torrents is legal, why wouldn't it be legal to write a qc address?

This topic has been discussed dozens of times on HowardForums and official Fido and Bell reps have themselves suggested using Quebec addresses if you wish your termination fees to be determined by Bill 60. It is legal nor has there been a record of ANY Canadian cell company making an issue of it. Here are some of the links:
If you're going to proclaim that it is legal, please provide reasons why you believe that is the case. I don't think it is fair to misguide people about the legality of this matter, which you do when you declare "It is legal". I provided my reasons why it may or may not stand up in court, depending on the facts. Let's hear yours.

Otherwise, failing any reasons to support your claim, you should retract that statement, and let it stand that Bell likely won't enforce the contract rights that they may or may not hold.

EPP gives you discounts on instore accessories @ $9.99/mo is it a smart idea? hmmm...

Wouldn't the price before tax be 475.27 since you also have to purchase the phone for $99.99?

deal_king wrote: The following example illustrates how to calculate the termination fee:

At the conclusion of a contract for cellular service for a period of 36 months, you get a free cell phone worth $ 350. The hardware subsidy is therefore equivalent to $350. The 22nd month, you cancel the contract. To determine the maximum cancellation fee, you should use the following formula:

Maximum compensation for termination = [hardware subsidy] - [hardware subsidy x number of months elapsed fully ÷ duration of the contract].

$ 350 - ($ 350 x 22 ÷ 36), $ 350 - $ 213.89 = $ 136.11. So you could pay compensation to the merchant that can not be greater than $ 136.11.
Is the hardware subsidy always $350 or is it dependant on the phone and/or provider? Where can I find out this out? TIA

so I decided to go back to bb rite now and get the pep plan which allows me to have unlimited exchange for phones that don't function as they are supposed to. my back button sometime doesn't respond so I just spend 270 on the plan apparently this phone has some problems so I think I am glad I got the plan.

I wonder if I should get another phone instead?

The statements on HOFO are just confirming that you can get the phone at a discount, assuming you use a Quebec address. There is nothing about the legality of using some random address that isn't yours. Even if the reps did say it's legal to use fake addresses, would you really trust what you read on the internet? :facepalm:
