I went to Newmarket and the guy said the gc is only for new activations.

Actually I did read the FAQ, but also heard that someone else got rejected by BB for having a migration plan. It is overly optimistic to expect all staff to know all the subtleties of the PM to Koodo Migration plans. Since it shows as a $40 plan, while the minimum for Medium tab is $45, it is tricky. So, hearing from other migrators who are getting approved or not would be valuable for me.
There is a migration plan that is BYOD and people are trying to get phones on tab with that. This is adding to the confusion. Bottom line is that if your plan is tab eligible, there's no way you wouldn't qualify.

Has anyone recently moved from the $35/5gb plan to the $40/8gb plan? Tired of getting nothing because I chose the smaller migration plan.

Think they'll move me?

I doubt you will be moved. I am on the $40/6GB plan and tried to get the $35/5GB. The rep siad those were special plans that only appeared with the PM migration. They are not in their system and have no way of applying it manually. To compensate, they gave me a $60 credit.

I want to thank the original poster. I picked up a grey S9 at my local BB this afternoon. I was hoping to get an S9+ but there were no deals on that model. Regardless, an S9 at this price is too good a deal to pass up. It's still in the box in case a better offer appears on Boxing day.

I got this s9 deal today on medium tab upgrade with existing $35/5gb migration plan. It may depend on your account, but once the sales rep scans the phone, it may show that you qualify for the medium tab on the same 35 plan. Good luck!

You guys, I'm so stoked that this worked. Shiny new iphone 8!

Question: Am currently on Public with a new number, just did the Koodo thing today. I'm not opposed to switching to Koodo for a good price (like the ones I see people around here with, $40 for 6GB etc.). I was going to call to cancel tomorrow, but does anyone with experience think that they might want to cut a deal with me through their retentions dept?

Nope, when I first migrated it was small, then another small upgrade, and when I checked recently at best buy (today) and wow (last week) they said medium tab worked for my $35 plan too. I was pleasantly surprised! So even if you have the $35 plan, it doesn't hurt to get the rep to check your account and scan the phone in and see if you qualify!

Does this stack with the 150/200 HUP credits from loyalty
I was not able to use my HUP credits. They said that it could only apply to phones that you make an payment for. I will call Koodo tomorrow to confirm. I got the phones anyways but still...this didn't make sense to me. Hopefully koodo will help rectify, otherwise I might return. Haven't decided yet.

When asked what plan I want I said the $45 so why is isn't saying monthly service charge is $60?
Don't worry, it will be properly billed through Koodo on your first bill; saw the same thing from BF deal, but was billed correctly at $45 plan.
