Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, S8+ and S8 Ultra - Thread
The main discussion for these tabs was taking place in the "hot deals" thread; but now that, it has been moved to expired deals, I figured we can keep the discussion going in here.
I picked up the S8 Ultra and I'm loving it! I got the spigen glass screen protector for it and I am waiting for two cases to come in. One is the book cover that was included with the deal, but it has been on backorder for a while. The other case I got from Best buy was the Samsung Protective case for $90. I think I'll probably be using the protective case more than the book case.
Having used the tablet for a bit, these are some of the improvements I hope to see for Tab S9U.
- Brighter screen. Current screen is roughly 400nits, Doubling that to 800nits would make it outdoor useable. For reference the phone S22U is 1750nits, even half that would be good.
- Better thermal and cooling to unlock the full potential of the chipset. As of now the CPU is underclocked because the tab can't dissipate the heat better. So better thermals without underclocked CPU would make this more of a powerhouse tablet.
- Make it a bit thicker. The tablet being a little thicker would solve a lot of issues. such as better heat dissipation, bigger better to power brighter display, could also be just thick enough to house the pen inside?
