Samsung LCD TV Manufacturer's Warranty

Hi,
I have samsung LCD 32" tv and it recently broke down on me. I want to call Samsung because it has been less than a year that it has been purchased. However, I purchased it off someone and I have a feeling that it was gotten through some illegitimate/illegal way. Would there be any consequences or any way for them to find out if I were to call the manufacturing company? Need some help PLZZ

First of all, Samsung may ask to see your invoice to verify date of purchase for warranty claim. But in this case, you have no receipt and thus any warranty claim can be denied by Samsung. All other grey area issues that you mentioned will not even be in the picture.

Basically, IMO, You are stuck. Sorry to say.

At least the LCD prices have fallen so much in the last few months that you can go out and buy a new one.
