any additional discount via spc or something? This price is very close to LG OLED which is another 200-300 bucks. I think if Q80T can come in same price range as the Sony X900H, then it will be a better choice.

Pretty good. I got the Q80T 65” for $1899 plus tax back in July from the Brick so at $1913 now, this is pretty close!

are these 55 inch 8k equivalent to something like 4x dell ultrasharp 27 inch 4k? same pixel look and colours? probably not 2000 is cheap for a 8k monitor lol. maybe have potential if tune the colours and can achieve monitor like colour accuracy. i want to get a 8k monitor for editing photos. a while ago i talked to vision they can do t he 55 inch 8k for 1700 something before tax. but that maybe LG i think. i would take samsung over LG. i had a lot of LG failed on me and other brands including samsung had much better records.

This is tempting as hell. I was gonna go for the Sony X900H. But for almost the same price, this Q80T seems greatly rated for gaming (Rtings)... Any second opinion here?

Very tempting on the 55" Q80T. Thanks OP!

Not sure if I should wait for BF/BD, would rather get it from Costco if possible.

I went for the 55q80t and just took this deal.

I spent half an hour at Bestbuy staring at XBR65X900H, XBR65X950H and QN65Q70TAFXZC.

Q70T looked better to me than the 900H. 950H was nicer than 900H but Q70T still had an edge.
So getting the Q80T I know I'm getting even better image at almost the same price of 900H was a no brainer for me.

Rtings has Q80t better rated.

Not even waiting for prime Day at this point. I didn't expect nor see any crazy deals on TVs.

man! I was already sure to pickup X900H until this deal came along... it was the x900h vs oled cx for next gen gaming...
now I have to go back and research again...

Is the 99,999 dollar 98" 8K TV included? That would be quite the savings lol

How is the Q90T 55"
I'm going to put it on the wall and the borders seem slimmer and nicer looking.

Tempting. Is the lack of Dolby Vision a deal
breaker for anyone?

Just want to double check, when you all say the Q80T is the same price as X900H, are you referring to the 55" model only?

Does anyone know if 50 inches supports 4k 120Hz and HDMI 2.1? I know 49inch does not.

UPDATE: Looks like both 49 and 50 inches model are 4k 60Hz only. 55inches is worth it or go with X900H and pocket some money.

Do you think the 65 inch will be cheaper on black Friday or cyber monday? Thinking of waiting until then but don't want to miss out.

Thoughts?

Delivering week of the 20th for me in Montreal. 55/65Q80T not in stock at BB anywhere near me. I chose the delivery date on a day that I'm working from home.

$1,591.70 tax in. They discount you the tax before they tax the subtotal.

XBR55X900H $1, 323.99 recycling fees included.
In Quebec, due to our crazy taxes, $1, 522.26 tax in.
So a $70 difference. There are no save the tax discounts on Sony TVs anywhere. It's a Samsung promo only.

So for $70. A no brainer for me..

FYI, I'm in the market now for a TV because I bought a new property. Those that can wait can always wait. I wouldn't bet too much on better savings by Black Friday. But who knows.
