Came back from best buy this morning. Got S10+ and Google home for 289 all in upfront (699-360-100+16)*1.13 + 480 tab. The staff was super nice. Didn't even take my trade in device just directly gave me a 360 discount. I was not charged the 35 connection fee. Is this what will be in the Koodo bill? He didn't give me a case though.

You right I should've mentioned that. I just assumed people know about that.

Those at BB, who got the case and or the screen protector for free? and who didn't.

Any receipt?

What's easier canceling or porting out?

If I were to port out assume would need to purchase a prepaid sim?

Yes you need a prepaid sim and you can do it on the website from the carrier you are porting to.

Thinking of putting ClearPlex on my wife's S10. I read here that they'll exchange it over time if it wears or peels? Where is this policy mentioned?

S10+
$700 on Tab Large
Discount Trade in for any $0 phone : $360 (One store said they will take any phone as long as it has IMEI number on it since they recycle it and other store said phone needs to turn on - YMMV)
Activation Fee: $35
Geek Squad Protection Discount: $100 (Signup for 3 months of Geek Squad Protection - YMMV)
Google Home : Free for new customers (Sell for $100 on CL)
Remaining Balance on Tab: $480
Total = $700-360-100+35+480+48= 803 plus tax = $899 and $799if you sell google home.
Thank you, but I hope I did this right today. I'm not good at these more complex promotional things.

I went in wanting the S10, but came out with the S10+. I am a current Rogers customer on the $65 so I did not port over, I did a brand new activation and number with Koodo.
I believe I got everything that was mentioned excluding the $100 BB gift card, I did get the Google Home, Choice of any case (Otterbox Symmetry Clear) and the lifetime screen protector as part of the Geek Squad protection plan.

I went in on a "Large Tab" which is $80 (4gb plan) + $20 tab monthly = $100. Did I screw up here? Am I able to try and cancel this plan tomorrow with Koodo? If I'm stuck with it I just gg'd myself.

Speak to a rep or call your local store. Every rep knows to replace the protector at the request of the client, so long as you don't abuse the privilege. I go once every 3 to 6 months... but the protector should last a year under lighter load.

You can normally get it replaced if it's damaged or worn, but in practice you can get it replaced for almost any reason... as often as you want... within reason.

Cool! Can I assume it won't scratch as easily as the protector that came with the phone?

Yes you can assume that. It seems to be some sort of self-repairing protector too. It feels better on my fingers than the OEM protector, to boot.

I'm a pretty big fan.

It will guaranteed look like garbage the first day or so after application, but once it molds itself to your screen, it should look flawless, or nearly so. If not, go back in store or to BB Mobile and have it reapplied at no charge.

Last time I ported I bought one of these for a buck, signed up PayGo with Virgin then ported the number. Needed to call Virgin to port but was a quick call, I figure Koodo retentions could take longer on the phone if you cancel that way.

Also avoids this scenario where Koodo forgot to cancel someone's account. Rare occurence I'm sure, but with porting I'm sure the account is closed and out of their hands.
