That part of the screen is de-emphasized through the UI design, leaving it so that your eyes don't focus on it.
On videos that are comfortably stretched to full width, you forget about the bottom right or top left hole as it's very much in the periphery of the video.
On many other videos though, the screen width cuts off just before the hole punch because of the unusual screen ratio, leaving these videos entirely un-punctured in their entirety.
The hole punch was less of an issue than I thought it would be. More than forgettable, for me at least.
Whatever your personal opinion, please respect hygiene and PPE guidelines and mandates laid down by (1) government, (2) private establishments.
