Samsung store told me they will be 50%off for peoples brought the phones in the following week it’s released.

But confirm in person as the guy who told me was not exactly well informed as he does not know how to use the 10+’ extra selfie camera.
The extra selfie camera is used to capture depth and light, you can cover it and still take a photo in all the modes. It's rather confusing.

I could use some opinions on my options.

Koodo - Currently with Koodo $48gb manitoba plan (located in Ontario) so it is only eligible for the medium tab, $920 up front + $63/monthly, with $120 bill credits and free buds. Comes out to $2628 after 24 months with free buds.

Rogers - My girlfriend currently has the premium share everything plan, $110 for 7gb. I can add an Ultra line to her plan for myself for $90/month with an additional 3GB. With a trade-in it is $19 upfront. We have a 30% corporate discount so it comes out to $71.75/monthly sharing 10GB. After 24 months it comes out to $1967 (or $2062 if we bump up to 12gb).

Even if I just kept my $48/plan, no phone, it is $1301 after 24 months, so only $700 more or so to go with Rogers. I just don't like how after 24 months, your monthly payment doesn't drop like Koodo does once your tab is paid. What do you guys think?
Are you sure the payment doesn't drop with Rogers when the phone is paid off? I swore it did but my contract runs out next month and I can't remember what happened 2 years ago.

You know what, you're right. I just live chatted and they said you can switch to a cheaper BYOD plan after 24 months, although most people upgrade.

I'd hate to leave my Koodo MB plan but it does seem like Rogers is the better deal for me.

Another option is to buy it outright from Samsung online...depending on what phone you have to trade-in (check trade-in value at link below), Samsung will give you $200 (for S10 or S10+) on top of your trade-in value. This way you get to keep your Manitoba plan.

I have Rogers MC World Elite and they said it covers phone. Did you hear otherwise?
I read otherwise. :)

They offer me $200 promotion + $200 trade-in for my S8. The S10 would cost $1022 after tax and trade-in, plus my MB plan it comes out to $2324 after 24 months, about $300 more than Rogers, probably because I have the 30% discount.

Yeah but how much will the upfront amount be? On the phone I want (S10+ ceramic black 512GB) it is $949 +Tax on the $100/10GB plan! I guess on the $85/10GB it would be $1149 +Tax. The no contact price is $1799.
$85/10GB is a Premium tab plan,
Phone is going to be $859 , take away $300 bonus and Retention is going to offer you another $100, so you be paying around $459.

What is NOT clear to me is, the phone I want trade is S6, listedn at $50 on Galaxyupdate, now I am not sure if i get $300 + $50 from Rogers, or just $300?

PS.) Keep in mind, if you are using your credit Card to extend warranty, they *ONLY* cover the money you paid upfront for the phone, so maximum you get back if your phone breaks or anything is going to be $459.

What's the general consensus on this deal? Is it likely to be the best deal out there for a while? I'm on a corporate plan with Rogers so waiting for a Koodo boxing day deal doesn't really work for me.
The koodo boxing day deal for the s9 was the result of it being the worse selling Galaxy since 2012 since it recycled the old design and increased competition from Apple and huawei/Xiaomi. The variable aperture being the only new feature on the s9 made it one of the most disappointing launches from samsung.

With Huawei raising their pricing and Samsung finally doing a redesign, I don't think samsung is going to have a fire sale on the s10 which looks like a significant upgrade. Apple pricing along with their need to pay premium pricing for memory storage has hurt the demand for their phones too. I think there's going to be a good chance that Samsung gains marketshare back from Apple all things considered. In addition, considering how many people abused the Koodo S9 deal(canceling immediately), I don't think there are any incentives for the s10 to come with the pricing of the old S9 on black friday.

If you able to get an s10 for around 100 after trade in and a s10+ for around 300, your doing pretty well for yourself in my opinion even if you are signing a contract.

The best deal by far is the amerifriends deal. Anyone with an s9 from koodo and got it for free, can get an unlocked s10+ for 450 USD with free galaxy buds and 130 samsung credit. If you have a S9 or can get one cheap on kijiji(400-500), this is the best deal but requires a trip to the USA.
Feel the wraith of the Old English Sheepdog.

On Koodo. 8gb, unlimited talk, text, 1000ld minutes. $45.

As prev stated, I am fairly certain Roger's wouldn't lower your monthly plan after phone is paid off. Another guy at work is telling his SO, that he told her so.....when yer two years came up for renewal and she asked if her plan cost would go back down before she upgraded her phone...they said no, but she is eligible for another brand new phone....LOL

the trade in you get will end up to be $250 $50 for the phone and $200 bonus. so no u won't be getting 300 + 50 or even 300 it saids you get UP TO $300 which is really just whatever turd trade in + $200.

To clarify, the Galaxy Buds are sold out for S10 pre-orders which is why they're offering the $130 gift certificate. They aren't offering both.

I'd like to get clarification on this as well. I might call Rogers this evening to see what they can offer me. Online right now I'm seeing $520 upfront to keep my plan (5gb w/ unlimited nationwide) minus whatever trade in bonus I can get (which looks like it could be $300). So I might be looking at $220 plus taxes to upgrade. After selling my s8 and paying off my remaining balance I'll likely break even.

I think that is not the case, they say UP TO 300, because depends on which phone you pre-order:
as you can see below , however after reading this, i believe for S10+, you get $300 (as long as your phone value is $25)
Offer available for limited time and subject to change without notice. Available when you pre-order online and choose ship to store only. Connection fee of $35/line applies to activate your services. Early cancellation fees apply. Taxes extra. Available at participating Rogers retail locations only. Applicable $300 trade-in credit available to customers that activate or upgrade to a Samsung Galaxy S10 or S10+ on any 2-year plan and trade in a device with minimum $25 trade-in value. Applicable $200 trade-in credit available to customers that activate or upgrade to a Samsung Galaxy S10e on any 2-year plan and trade in a device with minimum $25 trade-in value. Just pulled the trigger using an Ameri-friend.

$642 CAD all-in for an S10+ 128GB, $50 in accessories, plus free wireless Ear Buds. Will send them my Koodo S9 for the $550USD in credits.
Saw your post a couple of days ago and decided to pull the trigger today. Thanks for sharing this and making me aware of the deal. This is probably the best deal you can get if you have an ameri-friend and if you're willing to put in the effort. Note that if your ameri-friend is a student, there's also a 7.5% discount on the phone.

Will trade in my Koodo Pixel 3 that I got for $460 cad to get $550 US for the S10+. Loved the pixel but battery is crap and software/hardware is buggy. Hopefully the pixel 4 is better.

(1000 - 550) * 0.925 + tax = $450 US = ~600cad which also includes a $130 eCertificate (exact amount needed for Galaxy Buds). Net would probably be ~450 cad if I decide to sell the buds.
