They are not available from Samsung in Canada.

There are several models that are not available in Canada. The US has a 512GB model of the S7+ that is not available in Canada.

Thanks OP. Since the S7+ is OOS, I opted for the S7 model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. SPC discount brought it down to $693+tax, and it includes the Galaxy Buds Pro. Also Samsung has 4% cashback on Rakuten today.

An Ipad Air with education discount is $719+tax for the 64GB model and $919+tax for the 256GB model and it doesn't come with an apple pencil (whereas the S7 comes with the S Pen), which adds $160 to the total.

I like 16:10 ratio. Better suited for media consumption than productivity. Giant black bars are just ugly and wasteful

When I looked into Mi Pad 5, the only difference to the pro is that the pro have faster cpu.

It seems like they swapped the Buds Pro for the Galaxy Buds Live. I ordered yesterday and got the S7+ 256GB with the free Buds Pro.

Edit: of note this was through the Perkopolis portal. Through Samsung direct, the Buds Pro are still the free gift.

How's the android play store for tablet apps? Are they just blown up phone apps still?

Yes but the cpu upgrade won’t really make much of a difference (it’s minor and those benchmarks been out for a while). Expectations are the upgrades will be small so s7+ is a much better value for those who don’t care about a minor upgrade. Of course the question is really rather there will be better deals on the s7+ come Black Friday or Boxing Day. That part is much more debatable.

The pro also has cellular, more speakers(8 vs 4) but yeah no deal breakers. And at $390 vs $310 I think I would go with the non pro. The 16:10 ratio is the deal breaker for me, though. Apple has it right with their 4:3 (3:2?) aspect ratios. I've been resisting it but I will probably concede and go to a 11" iPad when my sp6 dies haha

Just went to Samsung website, added the s7 128GB and they are still giving out the Galaxy Buds Pro
