[Samsung] Samsung S21 - Device Trade-In and SPC discounts

Decent deal for a pre-order depending on what device you have:

If you have a galaxy S9-S10 series as shown in image you get $300 off before tax.
If you have pretty much any device you get $200.

Plus pre-order by Jan 28 you'll get Galaxy Live Buds $200 on there own.

And some smart tag about $30-40. Not too substantial.

Plus with a 10% SPC combo, ** makes this even better

I fear you may get downvoted because people don't like Android phones. Their prices drop significantly within months of release.

If you are getting it then it's a good deal, better than nothing!

$575 cash back for my mint S20+.

Tough to swallow especially since you can't use it towards the pre-order. It'll be reimbursed via cheque months later.

Considering the phone isn't that much of an upgrade, not even the GWP makes it worth it for me.

It's not android people don't like, it's the bloatware loaded, overpriced Samsung's that will generate the downvotes here. Many better options out there.

I got an S10 but I dont really think the upgrade is worth it at this point. I'm not a power user or anything. And I got a spare S20 FE 5G sitting around for when 5G actually rolls around...Battery capacity is still roughly 80% on the S10 after two years too so there's no real reason to toss it for a somewhat upgrade...

Yeh not worth it for S20, but you got a S9, or any old 2-3 year device mid range / low It's not bad plus with 10% SPC discount.

I suspect more the downvotes will come from the lack of proper information in the title combined with what will inevitably be people who feel whatever phone they have is worth more than Samsung is offering in a trade in.

Is the trade-in $300 off no matter what phone?

Just adds it on top of the actual value?

Just did a comparison with my s20. Man there's absolutely no reason to upgrade to that. I wouldn't likely have anyway, I don't upgrade generation to generation but glad to see my s20 still holding its own.

180$ for my S10 (still looks like new) is a joke.

Wow, $1129 -> $1399 -> $1649

You know you have a problem when your phones are more expensive than Apple's iPhones.

I love Samsung. whole reason is to be on Android is to be able to do things how you want it. Otherwise, might as well go to apple with better security, privacy and UI experience.

Yes Samsung Till S7 was very bloated. Now its not so bad.

I had Pixel before and couldn't face unlock (which was purposely removed to upsell new pixel). Couldn't put some of the basic thing as ringer/viberate in toolbar at top. Pure Android experience is pure BS - e.g., don't even have a proper email client. Samsung Calendar, Email client (even though not perfect) doesn't hinder me. Let me color coordinate and manage multiple calendar at ease.

I still hate with a passion that Android change how unread notifications are handled. If I have a unread message, just because i ignore the notification, the app should still keep it the badge on that there is an unread message. So stupid!

Now Apple is 90% android (with widgets and swipe and other apps as default ...) I think its time to switch back? Until then - Samsung is better than most android out there - at least for me.

It's $300 for S9 or S10, more worth it if you have regular S9

Im still on my S10+ and my 2yrs will be up in August. I gotta say Im pretty impressed by the durability of Samsung phones and the camera. Im going to pay the $200 to buy it at the end of my term from my EPP plan.

That being said, phone prices are astronomical. Oh my lord. I may just hold on to this until the wheels fall off.

@TransporterSD, it's your time to shine.

I'm definitely getting a plus.

Edit:
redflagdealsguy wrote: Well I just checked out the S21+ specs.

Screen was downgraded from 1440p to 1080p.
No microSD slot.
Base model remains 128Gb / 8Gb
Only notable upgrade was the CPU

Really disappointing.
Yeah... I'm definitely not.
