Well, my mint S9+ only gets $115. Weird that the lower end s9 gets more back...

300$ for my s9+ , total comes to $1022.99 for a s21+ and includes galaxy buds on my Perkopolis. This is sorta hot, no?

It appears we are being gouged - reading on ars technica the price is supposed to be USD$799. That's not $1129CDN! It's even worse for plus model. I was ready to preorder but now that I read more about it, the phones are actually a downgrade from last year in several aspects so if the price doesn't come down - which seems to be the case in Canada - then there's no point buying now.

Is anyone familiar with how the trade in works? So it's a promo $300 off the phone, plus whatever the value of your trade in is? But the cart total doesn't reflect the actual trade in value?

A new car... which easily depreciates 30% the moment you drive it off the dealership.

Not that I am fan of dropping cash on phone every year... and assuming you really meant 'new' car.

Samsung tries too hard to play apple with cutting memory expansion options and skipping the charger in the box. They actually tried this with the S6 and failed. Thanks but no thanks. I'll wait for s22 with proper card slot.

From what I gather, it's $300 bonus on top of your phone value, which would actually make my S9 $300 + $105. I think

What are the duties on phones in Canada vs the US?

isn't the diff between s21 and s21+ just the screen size and battery size?...not worth the price diff

I have a Galaxy S9, and entered my IMEI but it only gave me a $100 trade in value. How do we get the $300 trade in credit? Does it work for a device in any condition that does start up?

I am not aware of any duties on phones. Furthermore doesn't the US actually have tariffs now? If anything their prices should be higher.

Tempted...

I am still rocking an s9. Thing won't break after everything it's been through in 3 plus years and still functions pretty well. Bless its soul.

I also got a $100 trade-in value for the S9 and was confused. But when I clicked "pre-order now" at the bottom, and continued past the accessories upsell screen, the price in the shopping cart was $829 (with a "-$300" shown next to the S21).

Yeah, doesn't look like there are any tariffs or duties on cell phones in Canada. I don't know what the US has done, that changes based on the direction of the wind right now.

It says that to be eligible for the deal the phone needed to be bought in canada. How high do you think chances are they'll still accept my european S9 for the $300 promotional trade-in?

I put s10e and I get $165 trade value, then it bumps to $300 total discount at checkout. So they give an extra $135. It's wonky with the trade in discount

Fyi, trade in a broken phone from the Zack Morris years, or any year, doesn't matter... Choose Other for the brand and then Other Other for the phone

You get $0 but then checkout has $200 discount

You are better off doing that, and then selling your phone on Kijiji for quick cash.
