Anyone in a Scotiabank’s STEP variable look into switching to fixed? I wonder what rate they can provide for us?

Does anyone know the restrictions on the 2.79 4 yr?

I got offered 4 years @ 2.94 closed fixed at RBC with a 30 year amortization + $1000 cashback, tempted to take that.

I'm curious about this also, I'm in same situation with less than 1.5yrs left on my current STEP variable bit its a closed variable.

I did it directly with scotia.

Wish I saw this a week ago, just closed at 3.04% on a 5 year fixed.

Could we see 2.49% in the near future? a 1.99% would be fantastic!

It all depends on your needs and what you are looking for in terms of flexibility but yeah even A lenders are well below 3%. But for anyone looking for a new (or renewing) their mortgage this is a great time

Would you be able to share us with the name of the broker you used? My TNM broker only give me 2.79%

When moving from one bank to another do you need to get a property value assessment done?

I have locked in this rate to hold at 2.79% until I come into the bank to talk things over. Pretty sweet!
