[Sears] 4m hdmi cable 4k compatible

Was at sears today and bought this 4 m long hdmi cable 4k ultra HD compatible.
Price 7.99 plus 40 % off.

Looked at these the other day. Couldn't see anywhere on the packaging that mentioned the HDMI version number.

Did you open this yet? Any documentation on the inside?

Yes...older versions. Think 1.4 or 1.3 and below

no mentioned of hdmi version but cable seems to be well made unlike those cheap $2 kind. plus i was looking for a long cable so this is long

Basically, any cable that says "high speed" on it is 4K capable. I learned this through upgrading all of my gear to 4K......didn't have to upgrade any of my 7 year old cables.

how would you be able to tell if your old HDMI cables are working with 4k or not?

Is it really? I have like 6 cables from PrimeCables that are High-Speed but are only spec'd on the website as being 4k/30hz. I haven't tried them yet on my new set as the cables included with my 4k/60hz peripherals output fine with no artifacts.
