Sears Sneaky Sale Price - Dishwasher

Starting Friday, April 15th, Sears have the Bosch SHS5AC55UC dishwasher on sale for $849.99, save $250! Listed as "LOWEST PRICE". Sears part # W-2299743, as per flyer.

On their website for the past week, it's been $799.91, regular price.

So, the price goes up $50, which is $250 less then the new normal price, which is $50 higher then last weeks normal price, but is listed as "LOWEST PRICE" on sale?

Just a quick heads up for people looking for this dishwasher or similar : I bought the SHS5AVL5UC (the same as above, with a few more wash cycles and a LED display on top) last week for $750 taxes in and free delivery at Breault & Martineau in QC.

This is so common place that I don't bother looking at how much I'm "saving". I just look at what I would end up paying, and if I'm willing to pay that amount for the product. Original price, MSRP, and "YOU SAVE $5000" means nothing to me.

Submit a complaint to the Advertising Standards Council. You have already done the hard work by taking screenshots and a photo. It probably won't amount to much, but this very clearly is a case of deceptive advertising.

Could be a misprint. The Dishwasher with the webcode W- 2299753 is normally 1099.97 on sale for 849.91. Similar features except for the handle and online still shows 2299743 as 799. Have you tried calling sears to report the problem?

I think it is more likely that they are screwed up than trying to be sneaky. My wife works for them on the floor. She was scheduled to work twice today from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. She only knew about the evening shift until her co-worker called her at 11:00 to ask why she wasn't there.
