[Second Cup] Second Cup - Buy reusable cup for $2 & get med latte for $2.75 from Apr 15-24

More offers from Second Cup
For all those Second Cup latte lovers out there, this is pretty sweet. It's kind of like the latte Tuesday promotion which they have been having over the past few months.
Confirmed for GTA - not sure about other regions.

You buy a reusable cup from SC for $2, and from April 15 - 21, you can get any medium latter for $2.75 once per day when you bring the cup.
You need to buy their cup for this promotion.

The cup is surprisingly decent for the price - moderately hard plastic & dish washer and microwave safe; it's got a resealable lid. I wouldn't toss it on the floor on purpose or anything, but it's a nice to have. Not sure if the cup is available at all locations yet, but the promotion is supposed to start Friday. I saw the sign up at Eaton Center.

This is also particularly good seeing that latte prices have gone up, and a medium will set up back $4.20 now instead $3.99; since that kicks it above the $4.00 threshold, that's about a 0.50 increase due to additional taxes in Ontario!

Anyways, enjoy!

I still find it's not worth trying to blindly stumble down the street uncaffeinated compared to just pressing some plain old coffee and chugging it down at home for pennies.

I'm just jealous because out of the one hundred coffee places within walking distance of my place, there is no Second Cup.

Can I get the deal if I use one of the re-usable cups I already own?
If I robbed the place I would be out by now....

According to the signs, it actually runs until the 24th. Updated the main post.

I wouldn't say the cup is spill proof - but I'm not going to test that out while my latte is in it.

Most stores seems to have a display setup with the cups piled up - they're white cups with green trim. Not too many partook when I was there today - maybe it hasn't been well promoted.

The cup is pretty solid and it's microwavable as well.
For $2, it's definitely worth it! This is the producer.

If I throw the cup in a backpack, will it leak (since it states that it's "leak-proof")?

For those that go to Second Cup on a regular basis, if you buy a $30 gift card they will give you a FREE medium latte of your choice.

1. $4.20
2. They're supposed to mark the cups, but in practice, I have never seen this done. They might not even enforce it - never asked about it.

Having used the cup, I definitely wouldn't do that...
