Sennheiser 560S Open-Back Wired Headphones - $179

Price:
179
Retailer:
Sennheiser
MSRP $259.99
Sale Price $199.99
Price after friends and family $179

Item listing: https://en-ca.sennheiser.com/hd-560-s-a ... z_chnl=001

Shipping is free via UPS. You may get dinged for customs/brokerage, but Sennheiser will reimburse you if that is the case.

Steps:
1) Use the 10% off Friends and Family Link Discount Link (Link is a friends and family link, not a referral link)
2) Manually find and add the HD 560S headphones on the Sennheiser Canada (Home -> Headphone & Soundbars -> All Headphones -> Scroll down for the HD 560 S)
3) Add to cart. The 10% off discount will not show up in the cart!
4) Go to checkout and you'll see the 10% off coupon applied on top of the sale price, bringing it down to $179 + tax.

There is 3% Rakuten, but it does not stack with the 10% off Friends and Family link.

Anyone who makes a purchase on the Sennheiser gets their own 10% off link for future purchase for "friends and family".... as far as I can tell there is nothing special about what or whose friends and family discount link is used.

These are wired headphones for listening. It is possible to modify the headphone to accept a VModa BoomPro microphone.

These are not noise-cancelling headphones. These do not fold down and are not intended for travelling. These are open-back, fundamentally it is the opposite of noise cancelling - it will have minimal interference with exterior noise. See the review on Rtings. Also /u/Lifelongcaboose ratings on Reddit.

Anyone have any experience with these and the HD599? I own the 599 and I'm wondering if the 560s is an upgrade or if I should just save for something drastically different (like a planar) or even just go straight for the OG HD600

These are the best of the 500 series. Pure and simple upgrade over the 599. I can't compare them to the hd600 series, never used them.

Still love my 598s but prefer hifiman now. I'm itching to grab these just for comparisons.

I have the 598 SE and the 560S is a marked improvement. There's quite a few comments on the reddit thread I linked at the bottom of the OP with their comments on the headphones.

The clamping force is stronger on the 560S compared to my 598 SE.

I'm a bit confused here. Do we actually get $179.00 or it's $199.95 plus a $19.95 credit for a future purchase? Only getting $199.95 at checkout.

You need to click with the 10% friends and family link, and find the item in the store yourself.

The discount doesn't show in cart, but shows up at checkout.

Edit: I updated the OP with short set of steps:
Steps:
1) Use the 10% off Friends and Family Link Discount Link (Link is a friends and family link, not a referral link)
2) Manually find and add the HD 560S headphones on the Sennheiser Canada and add to cart
3) Go to checkout and you'll see the 10% off coupon applied on top of the sale price, bringing it down to $179 + tax.

That's what I'm doing, maybe my ad blocker is interfering. Thanks I'll fiddle around.

EDIT: tried everything, caǹ't get that extra 10%. I wonder what I'm doing wrong. Disabled my ad blocker.

EDIT: Even worse, at final Shopify checout page, I get $269 total Face With Tears Of Joy

You're getting the 10% off from that screenshot, but it looks like Sennheiser's bumped the price back up to $259 already lol.

Sadly, not looking to buy (since I already have the HD 25/HD 599 SE/HD6xx form previous RfD threads), but thanks to the OP for the post. I checked out the deal just out of interest and while I was able to see the 10% F&F, the headphones themselves are still listing at $259 in the cart. They do appear discounted to $199 under "outlet" and now in the "audiophile" listing, but adding them still shows the standard price. Perhaps there are some issues with the store right now?

Idk if it's the same but I prefer my kids 599SE over my 560. Using a Fiio amp.

Wallet safe I guess... I was looking out for a deal for these but I can't say I need them.

Yeah the 599se is the black version of the regular HD599. I suppose I also prefer a warmer sounding headphone so I guess I'll have to pass on this deal. I'm really tempted though
