Can't speak specifically to these exact models, but I gotta say, Sennheiser cans are the most comfortable cans I've ever had. I wear a pair every day for 8 hours and I don't even notice they are on my head, and I wear glasses so that's always an issue.

HD 25 is sick, still have my adidas pair from a long time ago. $129 is a steal.

Jumped on the HD 25 - that is an unreal price. Wish the Plus model was discounted, as I could really use the coiled cable, but at this price I'm willing to try the straight cable and buy a separate coiled one if needed. Might cancel my Amazon order to purchase through a smaller Canadian company (AV Shop is awesome).

Anyone have the HD 280Pro and want to weigh in on how good they are? I'm trying to justify buying another set of cans :(

Pretty good isolation, pretty even response. I'd buy a pair for $100 if I didn't already have one.

I love the 280's for comfort if you prefer over ear cans. Great sound too! I use ATH-M50X, but if I had to purchase just one to use going forward, I may lean towards the 280's to save a few bucks and they are just so comfy.

Pretty boring honestly, what kind of music do you listen to? What kind of headphones are you using now?

IIRC I got on this deal too, how much were they after all was said and done?
I remember using a $50 off coupon, I am not sure if I paid like $20 or something for them?

Wow that is a great deal on the HD 25. I've had them for a while since you won't get taken seriously as a DJ without them. Sound quality is good at all levels, and these can take a ton of power but they're very bassy. I'd say, not accurate in the lows, but I guess that's helpful when DJing live. Only thing I hate about these cans is how tight they are. Unless you've got a smaller coconut, these start to hurt quick so don't know if best suited for studio work etc.

I had the 280s as well, very flat and boring, and my daily cans are Sony V6 so when I say boring it's really boring.

How do HD 25 compare to M40X/MX50X? I'm doing home mixing and all of my headphones are open back. M40X are on for $119.99 at Amazon.
