Sewer line connection for new build

A friend of mine is building a custom home and he's at a point where the sewer in the house are all finished and the sewer system needs to be connected to the city sewer line(Region of peel). Anyone have experience with this process? I'm assuming that the city and licensed contractor approved by the city to do wastewater connection needs to be involved in the process? The city will send technician to mark the city sewer line location and contractor will make the connection? Any recommendation on contactors?

This new build is in Mississauga.

Thanks in advance.

See if the municipality will do it - my friend is a builder and generally finds the city is actually competitively priced, especially if anything gets complicated. If you can do a fixed price, do that too. I have see him spend A LOT more than he expects for things like traffic diversion, paving and re-pouring a concrete sidewalk. Is this a new severance or multi-unit build? Was it a knockdown by chance? Not an expert but worked with this guy over the years.
