I have found quite a few good ones on kijiji; popcorn removal, aluminum capping, HVAC, quartz counters (marketplace). Wish I still had that popcorn removal guys contact info. Serious guys have serious equipment, look for that sprinter van.

I have found quite a few duds on Homestars and Trusted Pros for my concrete pads and electrical panel move. Asking 30% deposit, outrageous prices, guys who call multiple but don’t show up, guys who do show up and don’t send the quote. These guys are the top rated ones too.

Yes he’s taken a small deposit from me for shed base concreate job that was for 1200, he asked for 500 bucks, i told him no gave him 250 cash after he kept insisting he has to pay for graval and truck, he removed some grass, and he left his 100 dollar tool behind probably stolen too, and tape measure, The number (437) 778-2153 “Kevin” never returned to finish the job.
Beware!! How do we stop this lowlife?

This is the same person. Now going by the name Kevin on ads and then says it is his partner and his name is Steve.

Have you heard back from “Steve”? I ask because I hired him today and there was drama with his worker, looking him up and it lead to this thread.

I didn't end up going through with the job with "Steve" because of the stuff I found online prior so I didn't contact him again or the police. Not worth the risk. What was the drama with his worker?

Take it to the MCS (Ontario Ministry of Consumer Service) and file a complain. Beware the how the gov. works, i.e. s.l.o.w.l.y. like 2 years before you get your money back and the scammer only get a slap on the wrist . I got mine (and other 2 neighbors) a while back. Not by these scammer though.
