A few days ago I was able to switch from a $45/mo Internet 75 no contract plan that was expiring, to a 2 year Internet 150 plan for $55/month (no bonus credits or anything though).
I did it via phone - was sent to loyalty department, had to wait almost 45 minutes. Asked the rep what promotions were available, and she told me there was one for internet 75 2 year, but that for a dollar more at $55 I could get internet 150 for 2 years.
Not sure if anyone mentioned this but hopefully it helps any existing customers who want to get on a new plan.

I cancelled my service and started new one under finances name. Got the $60/mo for 24mo 150 plan (with $250 credit)... Loyalty would only offer me $85/mo as a longtime customer. Was faster than dealing with loyalty reps and got a new router out of it.

How much time between when you cancelled and signed up again?

I signed her up via chat, had her collect the router, then called in a day or two later to cancel mine. Cited moving, new homeowner took possession, when they asked why two accounts were displaying on their system.

Currently with Telus 120/30 for $49mo good until may2019, worth locking in with Shaw for 2 years at roughly the same price?

I would stay with Telus for the higher upload speeds. you can probably get Telus to match and might even get 150/150 for same price.

Than why did you PM to get my hopes up? I explicitly said I was a current customer. Shows how incompetent the CSR are and how they don't listen to current customers or care about them.

Time to cancel and get a better plan as a new customer or jump ship after 20y.

Congrats Shaw.

Called retentions. Willing to offer $60 month for Internet 150, but no $250 credit. That $250 credit is like ~$10 month over 24 months, so I was looking to get $50 for Internet 150 but they guys wasn't having it. "$60 is the lowest we're going to go, this is a $110 regular price service". Gonna cancel my service and sign my wife up as a new customer. Not leaving $250 on the table.

Sorry, skimmed the whole thread but didn't catch this.

I can't get this as a standalone product right? I looked at your link OP and it shows "on a 2-year value plan". That usually means it needs at least one more service along with it. I hope I am wrong in that, but wanted to see what the general consensus was.

Thank you

It’s still available but only certain reps can offer it.

Called in and the rep did it for 2 addresses for me no problem. See you later telus, sometimes you were good. Sometimes you were a bunch of incompetent lunatics.
