[Shell] Pennzoil - Get $22 Shell GC w/ 5L purchase

Get a $22 Shell gift card by mail with the purchase of 5L Pennzoil synthetic at participating retailers (NAPA, Walmart, maybe others)

Edit 2: Looks like this CAN'T be combined with the $10 MIR offer. (Thanks ms5133 for pointing this out).

"Valid only in Canada and cannot be combined with any other offer."

Napa has this oil on sale for $33.99 currently. When I searched participating retailers only Walmart, Napa, and Carquest show up so it looks like Canadian tire doesn't qualify for the $22 GC offer but does for the $10 MIR.

I tried submitting for both offers so we'll see in 6-8 weeks if they catch it or not, hopefully I at least get one of the two rebates.

So the shell gift card can be used at any shell gas station? $22 is a lot more than the $10 rebate. Good deal!

Good find OP. However my local Walmart charges $50~60 a pop. Good deal for those that can get them for cheap.

Now need to wait for a Walmart Canada sale. Locally my prices are still ~$50 for a 5L jug.

Wow their oil is really expensive then, no wonder they are giving such a huge rebate

Pennzoil Platinum and Ultra Platinum are both on sale fairly often at $33 for a 5L jug, and I think on Black Friday it was at $27. If there's any retailer having the 5L jug on sale it's great.

Just to make sure, this can combine with the $10 rebate?

Good question, originally I thought this replaced the $10 MIR offer from 2019 but it looks like that was renewed again for 2020. I don't see anything in the fine print that would stop you from submitting for both offers. If that's the case, people could get paid for buying a jug at the right sale price. Great deal if it works! Edit: looks like the T&C says you can't combine with other offers...

I'd check the status to make sure they didn't screw up.

I picked up 3 5L bottles of Castrol Edge 5W30 for $70 or so after tax at Costco. However it seems like this might be cheaper. How does Castrol Edge compare to Pennzoil Platinum (or whatever their synthetic line is called)?

As long as the synthetic oil meet your engine specs, then they are similar in quality with very minor differences between the brands.

I'd think it's similar to whether or not you want to pump Top Tier Shell V-Power 91 or Costco 91. The differences would be very minimal for regular people.

Personally, I use Pennzoil Ultra because they always have rebates/sales and BobTheOilGuy shills them.
