I think the cleanest gas in lower mainland is Chevron 94.

If by cleanest you mean without ethanol, then both Chevron 94 and Shell 91 are acceptable. Beside these two, there's no safe bet that you are getting gas with no ethanol in BC Lower Mainland.EdisonL299 wrote: ↑ I think the cleanest gas in lower mainland is Chevron 94.

I think shell 91 octane was the only one that didnt “knock” my friend’s modded engine.
94 octane only if you actually have your engine tuned to benefit from higher octane was my understanding.

At least Shell's and Costco's 91 does not contain ethanol. No ethanol is perfect for small engines like generators, lawn movers etc (less heat).Unknown18281 wrote: ↑ Yeah true but if I find 91 gas for the price of 87, then I can't really do anything

Pure gas has more energy than gas with ethanol. Therefore you will get better gas mileage when running pure gas so fill up with premium of the price per litre is the same.
