Does not create jobs, does not increase government revenues just like why there are so many condo developments these days ! They'll come out with all kinds of excuses, like does not conform to building codes and all that BS !

Does not meet building code and no neighborhood would permit it

They do exist though, they're found in trailer parks which do exist in GTA

arh I duno... not my cup of tea at all.
And for Canada, I don't think they'll be nice at all to live in through our winter, yeah?

Looking at that video, kinda remind me of movies/games with zombies popping out from these structures...

Not sure what you mean since there are loads of these parks in Canada. There's certainly lots of them where I come from (BC).

A quick google shows that shipping containers homes do not have to look like trailer parks, and with a bit of imagination they can be quite beautiful, IMO perfect for cottage settings but also urban if done right. Unlike crappy wood construction housing which will be torn down these can probably last much longer.

quick read on basic pros and cons

and they are legal in ON

So the best pros is predictable cost, and yet the container homes aren't even really cheaper than traditional homes of the same footage.

Then the cons are structural design issue, limited spaces and shapes, and of course for us in Canada, insulation. Seems like the cons out-weight the pros quite a bit, no?
