TruE SkiLLS wrote: Where are people getting shoe trees? I went to Harry Rosen, Moneyworst, Loding, a few shoe repair places and they all want $40 for a pair of Woodlore (the single tube with split toe). I also noticed that the heel part is pretty small.

Aside from that, where would be a good place to grab some shoe care products?
Johnston and Murphy has them for 2 pairs for $45.

Or you can get them at these two places if buying online.

Thanks, but I don't personally consider that an upgrade. Perfect happy with what I have thank you.

Old school, new school, the more choices the merrier.

This one I happen to like the older version better.

Thanks! I took a look at J&M after your message, then I decided to take a gamble in going to the factory/outlet.

They had https://www.johnstonmurphy.com/chrome-k ... ob#start=1 for 2 pairs for $30. I grabbed two pairs, but now I'm thinking I should've got two more pairs. The outlet didn't carry the ones you showed, but they also had https://www.johnstonmurphy.com/j%26m-ce ... ab#start=3

About a year has passed since the RL 65 percent off fiasco where I managed to scored pair of CJ marlow wing tip in cordovan brown at a steep discount. Bought the shoe in the wrong size hoping I could exchange it later one. My size popped up on the website site so I sent it in to exchange but then somebody had bought it before my shoes got there. Had another sized sent to me. I finally managed to track down my sizes at a store and had them sent there and exchange. Currently sitting at my mailbox. Not sure when I will get to do down. Hoping I sized it correctly
After over a year of back and forth I final got my RL by CJ marlow wing tip in brown shell. First pair of CJ. Shoes arrived perfect except for a little bit of leather ripple on the toe box (left shoe). I'm not going to to send them back as I've waited over a year for these. Construction is nice and the last is a little less forgiving. Guess because all of my shoes are on alden barrie, these are definitely slimmer. Shell is somewhat dry like everybody says.

Been wearing them for a week or so and they are my favourite shoes. Can't wait to see how they age.

Alden quality has gone down. I will buy another pair of C&J or Vass with no hesitation.

So far all of my Alden have been fine. No issues minus the speed hook starting to come off from my alden x jcrew cordo boots. Nobody has mention this as being a common defect and Jcrew happily took it back.

I would still continue to buy Alden and CJ for something a little more sleeker.
