Yeah smart, peel and unpeel it everytime you want to use your webcam so everyone can see how cheap you are at the office when you use your laptop. Oh you only use it at home? Well then dont comment this aint for you

I am sure your “camera block” cost more than a buck

Seemingly unpopular opinion: I use a post-it note from office. Just rip and retain the side with adhesive with a office supplied ruler

When adhesive starts to fail, rinse and repeat with new post it

Depending on the tape used, can leave tape residue on the lens, which is just annoying.

I use a blacked out card stock cut to size with tape. The blacked out colour is just so it matches the black screen.

Opted not to buy camera blockers since the 1-2mm would flex my laptop even though its incredibly unlikely the flex would be an issue. No flex is better than some flex though.

Emm, what's wrong of being cheap? I mean the last thing I want is that my boss think I am rich.

This $0.99 cover is also known as a screen cracker.

If you want to push your luck further, order the bamboo keyboard cover.
I remember that, wouldn't risk putting one of these on. Maybe on something that doesn't close like a PC webcam or smart display.

No idea, I just pulled up the first search result.

Camera covers and MacBooks are a bad idea due to the tight tolerances between the display and the top chassis. I thought everyone already knew that. But I guess some people became new MacBook owners today.

Hmmm, my work supplied Macbook. They also sent a webcam blocker like the one in the post. I've carried the laptop in a backpack twice and nothing has happened yet. If the laptop broke work will have to send a new one at their cost :P but probably still better to ditch the cover so I don't go out of work for a few days.

It actually works well on my 2015 Macbook, as the older generation has greater tolerance.

PLEASE OH PLEASE DO NOT BUY THESE!!!!

Use a post it note or a piece of tape. These have been known to cause your screen to crack, especially on the newer MacBooks, and Apple will NOT repair these in warranty, which will end up being a VERY costly repair…..
