The speaker output says less than or equal to 5W. I’d expect it more like 0.5W at most on battery power. It might consume 5W when charging and producing sound.Temporel wrote: ↑ All right, fair enough. Let's compare.
One AAA Eneloop 1,2 Volt @ 800 mAh will give you about 1 Watt during an hour.
The chemistry of the rechargeable battery in the speaker is Li-ion 3.7 Volts @ 800 mAh will give you about 3 Watts during an hour.
The specs say the speaker is 5 Watts, how long of a play time do you think you will get?
Don't buy garbage.
3.6V x 800mAh = 2.9 Whr is completely reasonable for a speaker this size. It should last a few hours, just like a pocket AM/FM radio with the similar type of battery capacity.
This is a $4.99 BT speaker. $9.99 is obviously high margin for people who were lured by the red but missed out.
