After they verify by phone. I went online and a screen prompts you to enter your optimum number to receive the 8000pts by June 11
CSR cannot do without prescription number. waste of time

Signed up for an account with my PC Optimum email/password but like others, couldn't get past step 2 without a valid prescription #. Eventually I did get an email to verify my account though, and after clicking on that you're directed into your account HOWEVER, there is a big banner to earn the 8,000 points and "verify account" which just directs back to step 2...so I'm not sure if I'm going to get the points or not.

I used my account and added a family number with my husband prescription. It still doesn't work for me. Does it have to be my own prescription?

I was in the same boat. I didn't have an old SDM prescription but my wife did.

My wife doesn't really collect PC points, so I just had her sign up for the Shoppers account and when they ask for your PC optimum #, she just entered mine and it worked.

Alternatively, if you change the birthday listed in your profile to match your husband's birthday, it will also work :) When it validates the prescription, it only seems to validate that the birthdays match. Then it goes onto Step 3 where it validates your husband's info. However, just having your husband set up his own account would probably be better since all the info (name/bday/etc) would be correct as opposed to having an account in your name but with his bday.

This is a nice bonus. I assume it can be done per person with a different email address, same points card? I will try the whole family.

edit: Nope - has to be different points card.

edit2: Must be at least 16 years old.

Any chance anybody has a picture of this 8,000 point offer or the email it came with? I never received my points and the customer care person wants a picture of the offer.

Ugh me neither! I called them last week regarding the 8K as well as the 50K for signing up for the insiders. I’ve received none. :/

You can use any old prescription from Shoppers. Mine was 3 years ago or more.. or If you have any medicine with refill left, you can take the bottle to shoppers and ask them to transfer the prescription - so you have the prescription #, store # and etc.
