Hmmm, this is getting dangerously close to the Mega redemption dates from last year (Nov 23-26 I think where you get 300K points for 450$). I wonder if this means we don’t get mega redemption during American Black Friday this year or if they are going to do it anyway before November ends.

The better deal is 40% back if you redeem 50000+ points. No limit on redemption and slightly better deal. Waiting for that one....

200k = $300
300k = $450

They are the same % bonus, no need to wait unless you have that many points and something that expensive to buy

Anyone in Vancouver BC who plan on getting a Nintendo Switch then don’t bother going to the store at Nanaimo and Kingsway. I was able to kindly ask the manager to check their stock for specific ones and the batch they have are only serial numbers starting with XKW. Most likely on firmwares 8.0-9.0. I end up refunding my Switch when I got it on the 20x points day.

If I redeem $200 worth of points to buy a Switch Lite ($259) will the extra $100 also cover the taxes or only MSRP?

Points won't cover taxes. You'll have to spend at least $300 before tax before they can apply the 200k points. Otherwise they will do the next best thing according to the computer (100k pts + whatever points want to spend or amount that you specify). Taxes will be charged before Points are applied.

But if you only have 300k, that's worth $400 in the first example.

And since you can't exceed 500k in a redemption, the higher amounts are better for a big ticket item.

I’d love to do this but doesn’t it take Shoppers at least two weeks to stock new releases?

Surprisingly no, but you may have to ask them to check the back and it’s only the locations that are usually well stocked to begin with

I've had pretty good luck with Shoppers and high profile game releases. Fingers crossed!

Switch for sure
Problems with switch lite: joycons are notorious for drifting/breaking and joycons are built into system so if they break you have no way of replacing without sending the whole switch to Nintendo to fix/replace, also you can only use it in handheld mode

Do post location info if you do find Luigi's mansion in stock. Absolutely perfect timing for bonus redemption weekend.

I'm assuming this is in regards to the hackable firmware? Serial numbers starting with XKW are the updated Switches, which is what I think most people would want (better CPU -> longer battery life).
