I was skeptical about this, but I tried to add to cart and head to check out, it does show some bonus points:

Bear in mind if you try to redeem points, the amount you'd receive drops as well:

So it appears it gave you 20x points on the full amount, even though you redeemed for a part of the price? If so, that's really lucky and an excellent deal.

I surprised my wife with one of the Airwraps a few months ago (bought on 20x points day)... she was hesitant due to the price, but she loves it and uses it daily (and tells her friends about it!). I believe when I bought it, there was only 1% on Rakuten but it did give it to me, so I am guessing you can likely take advantage of the Rakuten offer today and combine with this unless they have changed the limitations.

Edit: Nevermind, I see it now... The item would have been $649, and you redeemed $200 worth of points on it.. And you then got 20x points on the remainder ($449), not the full amount. Still a really great deal.

Bought the Supersonic Hair Dryer. Works out to a great deal. We'll see if 10% Rakuten works to make it even better. My math isn't the best but it looks like it's about $200 off.

Subtotal $499.99
HST(13.0%) $65
PC Optimum Redeemed -$400
ORDER TOTAL $164.99

Regular Points + 1,485
Bonus Points + 28,215
TOTAL POINTS + 29,700
PC OPTIMUM REDEEMED - (250,000)

If you have ever bought a gift for a lady, you know that being "pro" or having better specs is not the most important ;-)

I'm speaking as a man who bought dewalt instead of milwaukee because the wife didn't like the COLOR of Milwaukee systems

If you are shopping for yourself that's a different story

Thanks op! Wify will be happy this xmas!

yeah 20x on 449. Basically a wash on the points but $200 off :). Hopefully Rakuten comes through.

Gone thru the math. All redemptions work out very similar. Depends if you want to lower your balance or not. Keep in mind, the best price on this was a month ago when Dyson ebay refurb was $450. This is a brand new unit

Assuming you’re buying top model $699. Best value is full redemption, but here’s how they play out

130k points = $200
$699 - 200 = $499 = 149,700 points earned
$150 earned - $130 redeemed = +$20 increase in pts balance
$499 - $20 = $479 net cost

250k points = $400
$699 - 400 = $299 = 89,700 points earned
$90 earned - $250 redeemed = -$160 pts balance
$299 + $160 = $459 net cost

70k points = $100
$699 - $100 = $599 = 179,700 points earned
$180 earned - $70 redeemed = $110 pts balance
$599 - $110 = $489 net cost

What / how is the return process like for online beauty items?

Can I return in store?

I might jump but might get yelled at for spending so much...

For those of you with sales tax. Even more important to full redemption.
And as alway, fingered crossed with Rakuten

If you factor in Rakuten, all will turn out to be same. First case 50 cash back, second 30, and third 60.
