[Shoppers Drug Mart] Garmin Venu SQ Smartwatch - 150$

Garmin Venu SQ (Non music version) White or Black (In-Stock online this time, not like the last RFD Venu SQ deal)
SDM: https://shop.shoppersdrugmart.ca/Shop/G ... ing&page=0
Pharmaprix: https://magasiner.pharmaprix.ca/Shop/Ga ... ing&page=0

Price: 279.99$ down to 209.99$

Option 1:
With shoppers-drug-mart-spend-150-get-50k-po ... e-2463736/
Get 50$ in PCO points when buying for 150$ (expire May 9th): 209.99$ - 50k points back = 160$ effective

PS:
Looks like you can combine this offer with redemption event.
So by adding a 5$ filler = 209.99$ + 5$ = 215$
You get back 50k points on 150$ purchases, so 215$ - 150$ = 65$.
Then, you can redeem the 65$ for 50k points.
So: 215$ - 5$ filler - 50k points back - 50k points (worth 65$) = 145$ effective (Or 150$ with filler free)

Option 2:
Use redemption event to redeem point:
100k points for 140$: Saving 19% on 209.99$, comes to 170$ effective
200k points for 300$: Saving 33.3% if you get to 300$ (Venu SQ alone 209.99$ - 33% = 140$ effective)

EDIT1: Taxes are on the full 209.99$ no matter the option
EDIT2: Product info, https://buy.garmin.com/en-CA/CA/p/70717 ... 0-02427-00
EDIT3: Effective means 1k point normally worth 1$

Wouldn't this same trick work for Apple Airpods 2 regular (non wireless charging case)?

$220 - $65 = $155 which is a few dollars less than Amazon's price of $158, but I guess it'll end up costing more because of tax at SDM?... yeah, I just did the math and it'll be $162 + tax (12% in BC) vs Amazon $158 + tax

Thanks OP. I also took advantage of the deal option 1. The breakout for my order is as following:
1. Order total: 209.99 + 5.99 filler = $215.98 * 1.13taxes = 244.04
2. Redeem 50000 point for $65 --> Total = 244.04 - 65 = $179.06
3. Earned 50000 bonus point + 2250 regular point = $52.25
4. Earned about 8000 point from using PC Master card WE = $8.05
5. Effective price after tax = 179.06 - 60.03 = 118.76$
3. Effective price before tax = $105.09

This is an awesome deal for a much better price that the Fitbit Charge 4 that people were buying from SC few days ago.

Silly question but in this scenario you'd need 50k points to get this lower price?

Yes and you would redeem that for $65 off per promotion that is ongoing this week and you will get your 50K point back also.

I've seen these in store but I wonder how much these would really be an upgrade over my Garmin Vivoactive 3. Since neither would be music varieties, that isn't a big deal for me. Could pick it up with the special redemption for well under $100...

Still logs in as $279 at the till. Would need a manager override to fix the price to the online price. Maybe tomorrow...

Tried another store. This time they said that they would honor the price if they had a printout of that particular store's website price. This is getting beyond ridiculous. The little store I work for updates its prices on the website every 4 hours but a multi-billion dollar outfit like SDM doesn't? Well, time to take the printout and see what happens. If nothing else, i will try a friendlier store tomorrow...

Tried that store again and this time, the manager herself confirmed the price on her own store's website. Used 100K points and got the watch for $97.29 AND got 21K points back. Not a bad deal at that!

That looks like a steal :)
Could you please help me by elaborating a bit more? I'm totally new to this. Thank you.
