Haven't even gotten my points from the previous event yet. Guess they really want people to spend their points.
Guess I'll try to find a copy of Smash or something

I though the Switch dropped to 379.99 (that's off Nintendo's official site)
if you don't ask, the answer is always NO!

I'm trying to calculate the real saving on this deal. Is my math below correct (assuming you only buy on 20x days)?
Normal redemption: Spend $100, get $30 worth of points (which you would later have to spend), that means $30/$130 = 23% discount.
40% Bonus redemption: Spend $100, get $30 worth of points + $12 worth of points back (which you would later have to spend), that means $42/$130 = 32% discount.

In other word, if you can get 9% or more discount on other sales, it's not a good deal to take advantage of this...

You can use the first calculation if you want to look at it that way. Your second is wrong. It's simply spend 100 get 40k in points back. Not sure where you get the 30 and 12
Aside from your calculations being wrong these calculations go on and on and around in circles. IF, that is IF you consider the points to be as good as cash, then you can just use the percent. 40% is better than 30%. On 20x you would get 30k points or 30$ to spend in the future. For this event you would get 40k points on 100 spend, or $40 to spend in the future.

Live chat claims that this can't be combined with the 20% off as system will automatically assign the larger sum of points.

Got the 40% points back offer in app and 20% F&F sale in an email form. There is however a fine print on the 20% off coupon which states "20% off discount cannot be used in conjunction with employee discount or any other promotional offer." and same thing on the 40% offer as well saying not to be combined with other promos. In theory, we'll definitely be able to redeem the 20% since it'll scan on the spot but may have trouble to request the points if they aren't added in two weeks by itself wouldn't it? .... hmm....

First rule of points club is DON'T CALL/CHAT POINTS CLUB
Second rule of points club : they have no idea what will/won't work
This should technically work with both. If you get 20% off and pay with points you will get the points back. Based on 12 years of collecting $1000's of dollars back in points.
So glad I always keep a couple of hundred in points as backup.
Thanks op checked and I also have the offer.

It's "redeem points" and get 40% points back (not "spend" $). So to me, assuming the same scenario where you already have the $30 worth of points and you redeem that amount, you will receive 40% of points back that is worth $30x40%=$12, but I agree with you on the loop back (assuming just one loop to be simple), so to be more precise, I think it should be like (again, assuming you only buy stuff on 20x days):

a) Normal redemption: previously spent $100 and have $30 worth of points (which you would later have to redeem), that means $30 free products out of a total of product worth $130 or $30/$130= 23% discount.
b) With 40% bonus redemption: previously spent $100 and have $30 worth of points, then redeem $30 and get $12 worth of points back (which you would later have to redeem), that means $42/$142 = 30% discount.

In other word, if you can get 7% or more discount on other sales, it's not a good deal to take advantage of this. I'm trying to, and that is if my thought is correct, point out that you are not getting 40% off from the this deal, but more like 30% off.

Best way to take advantage is too buy 625$ worth of items.

They will scan the coupon, and remove 20 %. Which is 500 plus tax. 575$.
You will redeem 500,000 points.

Pay 75$, receive 200k points back in two weeks.
