[Shoppers Drug Mart] Gillette Fusion 5 Sale

On Saturday July 7 and Sunday July 8 Shoppers drug mart has a deal for spend $125 and get 45000 bonus points (which is essentially worth $45 in credit).

There is also a sale on Gillette razors 4 packs to buy 2 get 1 free.
I scoped it out and The cost of a fusion 5 4 pack is a bit overpriced at 23.49 each but if you buy 6 it adds up to:
6*23.5=$141+tax.

With the 45000 points it works out to about $96+ tax.

With the free packs you end up with 3 more boxes.
So you end up with 9*4=36 blades.
Essentially it costs $96/36 or $2. 67+tax a razor
On Amazon a 12 pack costs $45+tax
This works out to about $45/12 or $3.75+tax a razor

Now here is a bit of YMMV if you want to try to go further.
On the proctor and gamble website there is $2 off coupons for each 4 pack of Gillette fusion razors you buy.
Print off 6 of those and if it is honored it will be $129. The effective cost would be 2.33 a razor.

Also for reference proglide is 30.49 and proshield is 33.99 if you prefer those. They don't quite seem as good of a deal though.

+1....great post including the cost per cartridge, mention of the coupons, etc.

That being said, I will also pass as I have a decent supply of Proshields and even with that, I am trying to transition to single edge (and perhaps eventually, double edge) razors to help shave off some of the cost of this daily chore.

This is a good deal. I prefer the Proglide razors and Costco usually has the best deal when they have a sale.
