[Shoppers Drug Mart] HUGE Points Day Offer: Buy 3 x $5.49 Tiger Towels (3=6 Rolls), Get 8K Back in PCO Pts.+ Counts In Surprise Points Spend

Probably the best points day offer so should get its own thread. SDM is selling these for $6.99 each today and tomorrow. Print the coupon in the deal URL above to get $1.50 off each (retrieved from Royale main website).

I was able to print 4, 1 from the main browser window and 3 more by opening new incognito windows. There is a points day offer to get 8K points for $20 spent on TT. $6.99 x 3 = $20.97 (pre-coupon total).

The deal is hot enough that you don’t need to stack with the Surprise Points Event bonus that runs until tomorrow. But if you do and you prorate it, you get 5.5K points (20K bonus) or 8.2K points (30K bonus).

Note if you have the personalized Tiger Towel offer, as I did, it doesn’t stack.

Also, most packs of TT has a small booklet of coupons totalling $5 off on various products that you can use for future purchases.

That's 40% in points.

There are other Points Days offers that are 40%:
- Nestle Confectionary, Delissio, Starbucks and Nescafe products;
- Energizer batteries;
- Kellogg's cereals, Eggo, Pringles, Cheez-It, Townhouse, Pop-Tarts and all Kellogg's bars and snacks (42%).

There are even 50% offers:
- Cheerios;
- Danone, Oikos, Silk, Activia, Liberte or Yoplait yogurts.

Also, some SDM/Pharmaprix apply restrictions on coupons like maximum 2 coupons per transaction per customer so YMMV.

The 8K in points is $20 or more after all coupons and discounts.
I Would need to buy 4 if I'm taking $1.50 off each using coupons? Correct?
($7-$1.5)x4=$22

It’s 48.6% with coupons as the $20 spend requirement is met with the pre-coupon total. There are other factors such as it providing future coupons (I have seen them on the TT at multiple shoppers) and comparing prices at other stores (eg. The yogurt I did get because of the 50% back in points but I could get it at Metro for $3.49 this week.)

The coupon says one per purchase which means one per pack. You should be able to take it to the manager or complain to SDM. Especially since most packs have the Save $1.50 Now on Royale Tiger Towel, you can actually even use those. It’s more strategic to use the printed coupon because it expires February 23 and the coupons from the adhered booklet expires June 30.

No you don’t, the total spend is met with the pre-coupon total so you need to just buy 3 because they count the coupons as valid tender towards the spend requirement.

Thanks op. Bought 9 packages and netted $.75 profit. They let me stack the web coupon and package coupon.

Me too! Though it is still a great deal without the double coupon dip.

Thanks again OP

Good job! SDM cashiers are the most strict about the one coupon per item rule (I have been successful with double couponing on some Royale products at No Frills but not SDM).

My deal was so-so. I hit the minimum $60 spend to get the 20,000 pc points. Then used $9 worth of coupons for the towel paper and toilet paper. So my subtotal was $53. Still got all the points.

Manufacture coupons do not affect your sub-total before coupons at Shoppers.

I wanted to buy the Kashi cereals, but none in stock. It would have stacked on the CO51 at $2.25 each for up to five boxes!!! Would have got paid to buy the kashi with the deal. Anyhow, makes it 74 cents a box after the PC points deal and checkout 51 deal.

I paid $20 and little bit more.
I submitted the missing point inquiry anyway. :)

Your cashier applied the manufacturers’ coupons as store coupons (which are those ones they stick when a product is about to expire) it seems.

$17.87 pre-tax. Needs to be $20 pre-tax.

Thanks, I noticed that the HST also applied after the coupons.
hope I can still get the bonus points back via missing points inquiry.

Your shoppers cashier is lame. They used $1.50 off x 2 as store coupon for the first purchase line. Then 1.5% off the third paper towel which only gave a 10 cent discount. Lol, it should have at least been $1.50 off.

Anyhow, you have clueless cashier. The coupons on the towel paper are manufacturer coupons, not store coupons.

If I were you, go back and get a refund on your entire purchase. If you do a points inquiry, you will not get your 8000 pc points.

I did read the original post, and if you look at all the other receipts, you'll see they all show as over $20 pre-tax. Yours doesn't. Your original question as to why you didn't get the points is literally that.

The coupons in your case were rung in to subtract from the subtotal, others weren't. I'm guessing you'll get it credited in your missing points inquiry? But regardless, that's the reason you didn't get them at POS.

They also seemed to have applied 1.5% off instead of $1.50 off for one of the coupons. They definitely messed up this transaction.
