Sounds like a plan.

So is it true what the OP says about bonus redemption days being in nov/dec usually? I bought a switch last weekend at the 20x point event. I now have a 95000 point redemption ready. I was going to buy 2 games (or a game and a pro controller) in the next few days with my $170 worth of points.. If there is going to be a bonus redemption event before xmas i might just wait.
They usually come at the end for November, I "ASSUME" Nov 25/26.

Interest is 20.99% on purchases?
Jesus! Not even the CB 4% has half of that much for interest tacked on it.
TD cards are high.
That's pretty common for credit cards. And if you pay your entire bill on time, 0% interest.

Do you straight buy Gas GCs and get 8k points? Or do you buy SDM gc and later on using those SDM gs, buy Gas GCs during 20x for more points?

What's the value of 8000 points on a normal day? I'm wondering if I buy $200 Petro GC would I get more back through this promo using a 2% cashback card, vs buying gas straight up with a 4% cashback card.
If you redeem 95000 points on a normal day you get $170 off. 8000 points are equal to 14.31 in that case.

8k by itself is $10, so 5%. As Vance mentioned, the value of the points goes up as you accumulate more.

When ever I need to make a quick estimate, I use 400pts/$ as a conversion factor.

Those usually come around Christmas.
I got them last year during this promo. Hope I'm lucky again.

Wait for bonus redemption days that happens once every year.

Mega redemption should happen before Christmas.

That would have been awesome but that doesn't work.

Aren't you afraid they get hacked? I'm always worried about that with gift cards
