Fun fact #1: This was the price when it was originally released in 1993.

Fun fact #2: The original version didn't have random lag spikes like this version.

Ditto

Fun fact #2 pretty much made this an exclusively handheld game for me, the random and inconsistent frame rate drops gives me a headache when trying to play this game on the big screen, which is a shame because LA is one of my fave Zeldas (I like it more than BOTW).

It's a fine game, I enjoyed it. That being said, even at this price I find it a little thin. It's a good game but I felt a little disappointed with how quickly the entire thing went by.

I think I need to give the expansion pack a try and go through Minnish Cap again, I remember that one being particularly great.

This was a short game, approx 15 hours, but so much fun. Really brought back memories.

What shoppers in GTA have switch games? I tried going to 3 and gave up as none had games.

Expansion pack? This was my favourite game as a kid, I played it over a dozen times.

How did I not know there was an expansion pack?

If you can't find it in store the game is available to order online with free s/h.

Go on the sdm main website https://www.shoppersdrugmart.ca/en/home?province=ON

Search for the game and then under the results it will show you "check availability" and you can put in your postal code to show all the nearby sdm with the game (make sure you do not click on the suggested search result just search "links awakening")

You absolute genius. I wasted an hour yesterday looking for Super Mario Party which is also on sale for $54.99. This showed exactly where they have stock.
Thanks

$55 in 1993 is equivalent to $100 in today's money so the original was close double the price of the remake Grinning Face With Smiling Eyes

I don't really care for the 3D Zelda games so this is one of my favorite Zelda game. This, Zelda 1, A Link to the Past, and A Link Between Worlds are the best Zelda games ever made.

You're not wrong, but Majora's Mask needs to be in that list, as well..

That stocktracker is woefully inaccurate. Call the store ahead of time.

1993 is 30 years ago. Helpful reminder in case anyone isn't feeling old enough today

I was in Buffalo and found one store that had it on Saturday afternoon. Didn't go that night, not realizing that their sale expired that evening. Very disappointed. Crying Face
