dont bother. it will be a painful experience and you may have to contact them several times before getting your points.

it takes up to 4 weeks before you get your points

Every single one of these shoppers threads, there’s always a comment saying this exact thing.

I don’t know what you guys are doing wrong, but I got my points for the previous Netflix ($200) deal. And I got my points for the previous Apple Card deals ($500) All I had to do was wait, which I don’t mind cause I only use my points during bonus weeks. After 2-3 weeks, the points loaded onto my card - no customer service contacted.

Am I just lucky and y’all are unlucky lol

Bought $100 worth months ago. I never used them since you can't buy services with them. Pretty useless...

I believe if you add gift cards to your Apple account, it will become the default payment method for services like Apple TV+ and Apple Music. I pay for Apple TV + subscription this way.

You most certainly can use them to buy services. I add the gift cards to my Apple account and use the balance to pay for Paramount+, Apple TV, Apple Fitness+, apps/in-app purchases, and hardware (phone/ipad/macbook/airtags). I haven't bought any cards from SDM this round but I have in the past and the points were added upon purchase and were reflected on my receipt.

Loblaws stores have had several offers for 7,500pts per $50. Unless you need this urgently just wait a while before stocking up.

Use your Apple Gift Card at an Apple Store to buy products and accessories. Or redeem it in the App Store and use it for apps, subscriptions like Apple Music or iCloud+, purchases from apple.com, and more.

from https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT204199

You can use your Gift Cards to purchase content, apps, and services (collectively, “Content”) from Apple Media Services and items (“Products”) from Apple Retail Stores, Apple online stores, and the Apple Store App.

where and when? is there a limit on the max points that can be earned (i.e., 7.5k per $50 up to a max of $500 spend)?

I only recall 1 time where it was 15% for Apple gift cards. I did see quite often 15% for other gift cards, but only 1 time was it for Apple that I can recall.

I was going to confirm the same … I’ve never had issues receiving my points within the specified time for any gift card promotional points

I misspoke. It was 15k for every $100, to a max of $500. That occurred on/around Jan 27. There was at least one previously that was also 15%.

I didn't even have to wait. the points were rewarded to me at the spot. So really have no clue what the difference is.

I’m with you on this. So many people crap on these. In the last year I’ve spent at least $3000 at SDM on Optimum bonuses for Apple, Netflix, DAZN and every single time I’ve received the proper bonus points in the time frame of the fine print. I’ve never contacted customer service over it. I think the majority of the complainers are the impatient type that can’t accept that the points will not post the next day.
