[Shoppers Drug Mart] Muscle Milk on Sale - 2 bottles for $5!! PROTEIN FOR LIFE

I noticed that Shoppers Drug Mart has the delicious Muscle Milk on sale for $5 for two bottles. My location had all the good flavours! So each one becomes $2.50. I love the banana, strawberry and chocolate flavours. Stay away from cookies n cream. YUCK.

Just an FYI, 650ml of skim milk (double the amount of a Milk2Go bottle) will get you almost the same amount of protein (~24g) for about 1/6 the cost (4L for $4 or $5), and none of the fillers/additives in a Milk2Go. That is, if protein is all you are after in the form of a milky drink.

Right, but skim milk is 90cal/250ml for 9g protein, while a Muscle Milk is a 160cal for 25g protein and tastes way better.

This stuff tastes really really good, but too expensive to take for the long-term.

OP is about Muscle Milk, not Milk2Go. But still cheaper, too, although not as convenient.
The first rule of RFD is, you do not talk about RFD.

The second rule of RFD is, you DO NOT talk about RFD.

If you're really after protein, why not just buy actual protein? 11lb of isolate from myprotein is ~$100 = 200 servings in total = $100/200 = $0.50 per 25g of protein. You can add water or milk and it'll taste much better while having much much less calories and no fats, carbs, etc.

These things are overpriced crap. Though sometimes I would get the Milk2Go ones for a post workout shake if I didn't have anything with me.
Milk2Go is much cheaper. Why pay $2.50 for this, its ridiculous.

For folks on ketogenic / keto diet, this has good amount of potassium as well. (700mg+) in a bottle. Good to keep electrolytes in check.

I get this price for the carton as it is at Superstore.

A product that is probably made very cheaply, yet is very expensive.
Just drink a glass of milk (I drink milk very rarely - I'm 52) if you need some help.

Very weak source of information. A quick PubMed search invalidates most of the arguments in the article.

Thanks for the heads up on the deal!

As far as the product goes, everything in moderation folks. Is one of these going to kill you? No. Should you live off them? No. Find your individual middle ground that makes you happy :)

Better change your thread title to Muscle MLK--don't want to get in trouble from the Canadian Dairy Farmers...

$5 for 50 g of protein doesn't sound quite like a hot deal. Compare to the calculations on this thread (bring your own powder), 50g of protein cost around $1.

It's funny how everyone wants to bash one another, yet the OP was just spreading the word. I thank him for posting this. Why? Because it's a very good deal for an on the go product instead of paying for something out of the Gnc store when your in a rush.

Keep in mind, many of you are here look to criticize the deal and most of you are very unhealthy who hardly ever workout.

Much love to those who are motivated to stay fit day in day out.
