Wanted to buy a switch lite today for my wife with this promo. I told her once RFD finds out about it its game over and we shouldn't count on it.

If you have a TV I recommend the OG model for the docking, vibration and joycons for multiplayer. Worth the extra imo

“If you own a TV”?? hahaha, this is 2020 do you think there are many gamers out there that dont own a tv? You can get 40” RCAs for less than $100..

But the rest is true, get her the full model with detachable joycons, even if she is playing portable all the time tabletop mode it soooooo much better than joycons attached.

No need for credit card. Just swipe pc optimum points card from the app to collect points.

Total price = 399 plus tax plus = $451.99

Total = $332.29 taxes in
If you buy during a bonus points redemption weekend with 20x offer, it's better:

Total price = 399 plus tax plus = $451.99
Redeem $200 in points = $300 off
So $451.99-$300 = $151.99
Received 30000 points=$30.00

So for the switch you will be paying $151.99 plus $170.00 in points ($200-$30)
So $321.99 ($151.99 plus $170.000) taxes in vs your $332.29

Yes, you gotta have saved the points from 20x events that occur every weekend. But you also get 20x points for anything also purchased when you buy the switch, because you've already hit the $50 threshold. Such as butter, milk, and the loss leaders SDM runs.

Received 45300 points=$45.30

So for the switch you will be paying $151.99 plus $154.70 in points ($200-$45.30)
So $306.69 ($151.99 plus $154.70) taxes in vs your $332.29

You don't get points on the after tax amount.

Plus, this thing is out of stock everywhere. I think anyone who wants one should buy regardless of a double stack chance.

Plus, this thing is out of stock everywhere. Act like people are just waiting on the RARE double stack events to save a few bucks on something that would make isolated life much more enjoyable.

SMH.
You're right. About the points on tax. So I fixed it. But if out of stock, none of this matters.

So SMH is very uncalled for. When just letting RFDers know they can save more. If your aim is to stifle discussion, and make posters regret posting, good job.

And I wouldn't call it double stack. Because bonus redemption has been happening often, and 20x personal offer happens all the time. Both happened last weekend.

Just to add, typically you don't earn points when you redeem points. (They changed that a while back).

That wasn't part of the calculation. Was only points on the overage of a redemption.

You only get points on the $100 and not on the redemption.

So it's more like $399.99 - $300 = $99.99 + tax on the whole amount = $151.99 + (99*15*20) 29,700.

Put of pocket is $152 and you get $30 back if you get the magical moment of redemption and 20x

You quote my corrected values....

It isn't a magical moment, happened last weekend and I think two weeks before, etc.

Anyone know any stores within Toronto that usually carry games? I've looked at stocktrack but everything within 200km shows up 0 in stock so I'm not sure how reliable that is. Thanks

Stocktracker doesn't have any stock in a SDM for the gray or blue/red joycon.

Yes lol, I think you edited it in the time I spent reading the thread and then I didn't notice your correction.

Also by magical moment I also mean, 20x points, double redemption and switch in stock lol
